Classic metal-ceramic dentures

Metal-ceramic computer-assisted denturesIt is a compromise between the metal type and the computer-aided technology of the Zirconium Oxide process. Metal construction is not made in a dental lab, but it is milled from monolithic blocks in a milling center, where it is sent by means of 3D scanning. Technology of lamination by means of a laser melting process is another option. Both of these variants of metal construction manufacturing significantly increase the quality and solidity of the whole denture. Using computer technology for future denture construction manufacturing processes is now necessary especially in cases of larger bridges or bridges for implants. If all-ceramic dentures are financially unbearable for the patient but he or she still demands high quality, this option is a certain possibility. It is also possible to solve partially frequent coloring of the gingiva at the tooth neck by step-grinding and using just special ceramics in this area. The metal construction ends about 1-2 mm from the tooth neck in this case. 2. We make a sectional working pattern in the lab, which is then transferred to the computer using a 3D scanner. 3. The future construction appearance is then made on the computer and the data file is sent to the milling center. 4. The finished metal construction is sent to the dental laboratory. 5. The finished machined construction is sent to the clinic to be checked and for installment. 6. If the construction is all right, it is sand-blasted and covered with opaker – a special ceramic layer necessary to cover the color of the metal – in the laboratory. 7. This construction is faceted by Duceram Kiss ceramics in the dental lab. 8. The finished metal-ceramic denture is sent back to the clinic, where, if the patient is satisfied, is cemented.

The usual period from grinding in the clinic to the delivery of the completed denture for simpler works is 5-7 working days. Larger and more complicated bridges require patient to come for a construction check after 4-5 days and the work is completed in another 3-4 days. |
